Write Your Book in 2024

One thing about the end of the year is our uniquely human habit of assessing both the time that has passed and the time ahead. Even if New Year's resolutions aren't your thing, you might be finding yourself making goals (not resolutions!) for 2024. (Goals vs resolutions is a distinction I use, even though I know I'm fooling myself.) Perhaps your goal for 2024 is to finally finish writing your book. And you know what? There is no reason you can't.

(Do I hear a "But..."?)

In talking with writers this year, here are the three most common reasons they felt stuck with their project. Do any of these resonate with you?

  • "I want to write my book, but every time I put words on a page and read them back, they don't match the story I have in my head. My book might suck!"

  • "I keep meaning to write my book but then other things come up. Gah! I need deadlines. I need someone to push me."

  • "Honestly, I don't know how to write a book, but I want to do it. If other people can do it, why can't I?"

The truth is, writers aren't lone wolves. We need the support of other writers and professionals in order to create and publish our best work. Talking to and working with writers over the last few months have been my most rewarding experiences of 2023, and I want to do more of it in 2024.

And that’s why I’m piloting a new coaching package with my newsletter subscribers! The new package offers greater flexibility in terms of budget and time. If this sounds intriguing to you, subscribe below to get all the details December 31, 2023. Happy New Year!
